Noa had a fantastic first birthday. In fact, she had so much fun that she’s still talking about it today. (She’s also still bouncing off the walls from all that buttercream icing.) We had a wonderful party with our family and friends, and raised $1,400 for SPCA (including the matching funds), as well as collected food, treats, and toys that we will deliver tomorrow.
She turned one, and the world didn’t end. Instead, we laughed, and even cried a little, but at the end of the day, we celebrated a wonderful milestone for our beautiful girl. I can’t imagine our lives without her now, even though such a short time ago, she was just a dream.
Thank you to everyone who came to her party, donated to SPCA in her honor, sent sweet messages and cards, and called to wish her a happy birthday. Thank you too, to everyone who babysat, dogsat, listened to our rants, brought meals, visited us in the hospital, crafted gorgeous sunshines, allowed me to take photos of them with Noa even though they hate being photographed, gave us amazing hand-me-downs and other great kid equipment, painted her custom art work for her nursery, etc. since she arrived last July 29. We have an amazing support system in our family and friends, and this past year was so much better because of you!
